Tips For National Relaxation Day!

Since August is National Wellness Month, we’ve been sharing things to try and products that promote wellness. August 15th is National Relaxation Day and we have some more tips on the perfect way to celebrate this relaxing day, no pun intended!



Get A Plant! Spending time in nature improves your overall well being. Plants are effective at increasing oxygen and clearing out toxins, which help you breathe easier!


Listen To Classical Music! Any music you enjoy is going to make you feel better, but classical music has been shown to slow heart rate, lower blood pressure and even decrease levels of stress hormones.


Drink A Glass Of Green Tea! Green Tea contains L-theanine, which reduces stress and honey has been shown to counteract free radicals and reduce inflammation.


Find Something To Make You Laugh! Whether it’s a movie or video on Instagram, laughing helps you relax by increasing the endorphins released by your brian.


Eat Chocolate! Studies have shown that even just 40 grams of dark chocolate a day can help you de-stress!


Don’t Check Social Media! Take a day, or even a few hours, off of social media.


Meditate! Even if it’s just for five minutes, meditating will decrease your stress levels and help promote self-awareness and focusing on the present.
