North Pole Cupcakes

North Pole Cupcakes are sure to get the kiddos excited for Christmas! You can even enjoy them as the whole family sits around on the couch to watch some classic Christmas movies!

Things You Need:

  • 1 box of Red velvet cake mix (and ingredients called for on the package)

  • 1 container (12 oz) of Vanilla frosting

  • Red & White Christmas straws (or candy canes)

  • Red m&ms

  • White sprinkles or sanding sugar

  • North Pole signs

  • Red or White cupcake paper liners

How To Make:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cupcake pan with red or white cupcake paper liners.

  2. Prepare cupcakes according to package directions.

  3. Once finished, let cupcakes cool.

  4. Add the white frosting to the cupcakes.

  5. Sprinkle cupcakes with white sprinkles or sanding sugar.

  6. If you're using a pole-colored straw, just add it to the cupcake! If you're using candy canes, break the curved part so you're left with the straight part of the candy cane as your pole.

  7. Insert the straw or candy cane into the center of each frosted cupcake and add a tilt, slightly angled.

  8. Place the red candy on top of the straw or candy cane using a dab of frosting as your glue to secure it.

  9. Once you're ready to make the sign, using a red or black sharpie, write 'North Pole' on it.

  10. Secure the North Pole sign using a dab of frosting. Or if you're using a sticky sign, stick them together.

  11. Serve and enjoy!
