Lutron, the global leader in lighting and shading controls, unveiled the addition of an Outdoor Smart Plug to its Caséta Smart Lighting Control System, offering reliable smart control of outdoor devices from anywhere in the world. The new Caséta Outdoor Smart Plug is ideal for smart control of landscape and string lighting, holiday lights and inflatables, and some motors and pumps, giving homeowners convenient control of their exterior lights through the Lutron app, a smart remote, or voice control via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The plug is IP-65 rated and built to last, with solid core construction to protect the device’s inner electronics against severe weather conditions, season after season.
Now homeowners can set lights and other devices on a schedule to come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise, or create scenes that control multiple outdoor lights at the same time. You can set the patio lights 15 minutes before sunset, and thanks to Caseta’s built-in smart timer they can adjust with Daylight Savings. The Caséta Outdoor Smart Plug will be available late March online at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe’s, as well as at electrical and A/V distributors.
