Updated: Sep 14, 2020

This is the perfect bread to get you amped for game day! You can even fill it with your favorite dip!

Ingredients:

3 rolls of Pillsbury French Bread

Egg Wash (1 egg and two tablespoons of water - mix!)

Dip of choice (we use Spinach dip)

Pretzel Crips (or any chip of your choice)

Things You'll Need:

Cookie Sheet

Parchment Paper

Toothpicks

Silicone brush for egg wash

Pizza cutter

How To Make:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree

  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper

  3. Unroll two french breads and manipulate them to look like the outline of a football by arching each side

  4. Use toothpicks to hold each side in place

5. Unroll the third loaf to cut out laces. Using a pizza cutter, cut long 1 inch strips from the dough and then cut smaller pieces of the dough and place them to look like laces.

6. Place two strips on the side of the football

7. Brush on the egg wash

8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes, until the bread bowl starts looking more like a football with a nice golden color

9. Once cooled, carefully pick up the football and place it onto a rectangular platter

10. Take out the toothpicks

11. Place the dip of your choice inside the football and add laces to the top of the dip

12. Scatter pretzel crips (or any chip of choice) on the side of the football

13. Enjoy!
