Hand Washing with MyKirei by KAO!

Teaching our kids to wash their hands properly is an important life skill. And this month, MyKirei by KAO has announced a new program in partnership with TerraCycleⓇ, called The Healthy Hands campaign.

MyKirei by KAO’s Brand mission is to make the world more Kirei which means beautiful. The brand focuses on amazing Japanese technology for self-performance, helping society and the world with important missions like good hygiene and being more sustainable.

This program has been happening in Japan for years, and they are now bringing this societal movement to the U.S. as kids are heading back into the classroom.

The program features a hand washing curriculum that will help teachers in schools across the country educate their students on how to properly wash their hands while also integrating the important message of encouraging the use of less plastic waste.

The 6-step hand washing curriculum will be shared with teachers along with a MyKirei by KAO clean routine Healthy Hands Kit.

The kit includes the brand’s best selling Yuzu Flower Foam Hand Wash and a UV-Light Germ Detector Box that help students reveal germs that were missed through improper washing.

The 6 steps for proper washing include….

Step 1: Rub palms together. Let’s say please.

Step 2: Rub in between fingers and on back of hands. Like the branches on trees.

Step 3: Rub in between singers and front of hands. Make bird wings.

Step 4: Rub your nails on palms. Show your wolf claws.

Step 5: Wash thumbs, give it a twist.

Step 6: Wash wrists.

Rinse and dry. Tell germs Good-Bye!

The team also developed a catchy tune that sings the steps in an upbeat memorable way.

Following the lesson, each student will take home a bottle of the brand’s best-selling Yuzu Flower Foam Hand Wash! It’s a social media sensation because it leaves behind a foam Yuzu flower imprint and is packaged in a bottle for life. But it’s not just pretty, it keeps your hands nourished with that amazing Japanese soft and gentle foam hand wash, no matter how many times you wash them! And for the kids, it makes the monotony of washing hands a fun, memorable experience that keeps them coming back for more.
