Football Field Cake & Cupcakes

This cake and cupcake sheet looks hard to make but is actually super easy and you get to let your creativity out!


Ingredients:

1 package of Duncan Hines Perfectly Moist Classic Yellow Cake Mix or Duncan Hines Perfectly Moist Classic Chocolate Cake Mix

2 containers Duncan Hines Creamy Vanilla Frosting

1 bottle green food coloring

1 cup water

3 large eggs

1/3 cup vegetable oil


How to Make:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place white liners in muffin cups.


Blend cake mix, water, oil and eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer at low speed until moistened, about 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide batter into lined muffin cups.


Bake 16 to 18 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.


Prepare frosting while cupcakes bake. Reserve 1/4 vanilla frosting.


Mix 3/4 vanilla frosting with green food coloring until desired color of football field. You may also use pre-made green frosting from your local grocery store.


Put 1/4 vanilla frosting into icing bag.


Remove cupcakes from pans and cool completely.


Frost cooled cupcakes with green frosting. Once frosting settles, take icing bag and draw football field lines with white icing for 10-, 20-, 30-, 40- and 50-yard lines on top of cupcakes. Example: draw 5 on the left-hand side of the cupcake, draw a white vertical line in the middle, and draw a 0 on the right-hand side.
