Coral Manta 3000: The AI-based Drowning Prevention System

Summer is our favorite season since families are always outside and in the water! It could also be a scary few months since the water is so unpredictable.

A new report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission notes that the number of children under 15 dying by drowning has been increasing, and drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death in children under 4. The majority of these deaths occur in June, July and August; mostly in backyard pools.

Coral Manta 3000 is the first and only AI-based drowning prevention system, now trusted by former Olympian Bode Miller, whose daughter's tragic death by drowning a few years ago.

The solar-powered, smartphone-enabled Coral Manta 3000 uses advanced AI software and an underwater video camera to analyze, detect, and track all people in the pool 24/7 by utilizing an advanced algorithm to monitor and alert upon any entrance to the water, and more importantly, upon detection of risk of drowning.

This video explains how the Coral Manta 3000 works.
