Citrus Chicken Recipe

If you're looking for a unique chicken dish or have a bunch of oranges about to go bad, this Citrus Chicken recipe will be your new favorite. It's moist, delicious, and you might want to make double the portion for later!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (breast, thigh, or both)

  • 4 Oranges

  • 2 Lemons

  • 1 Red Onion

  • Olive Oil

  • Italian Seasoning

  • Paprika

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic

How To Make:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Clean your chicken.

  3. When it's clean, lay the chicken flat on a pan.

  4. Two of the oranges will be used for making fresh juice. All you need to do is squeeze the juices out of the oranges and set aside.

  5. Cut the other two oranges into thin slices.

  6. Do the same for the lemons, cut into thin slices.

  7. Chop your onion into big pieces.

  8. Add the sliced oranges, lemons, and onions onto the pan with the chicken.

  9. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic.

  10. Once it's all mixed, pour over the chicken.

  11. Then pour the fresh squeezed orange juice on top as well.

  12. Bake for an hour.

  13. Once it's done, serve and enjoy!

Pro-tip: If you want it extra juicy, about halfway into baking (30 minutes) add some more fresh squeezed orange juice and salt and pepper.

Double pro-tip: If you're serving it with rice, don't dump out the baked juice! Save some and pour it over the rice, it adds a nice flavor!
